Sutera Sanctuary Lodges
Cool, peaceful and often encircled in mists, Kinabalu Park, located at 1585 metres above sea level is the main starting point for the tourist trail that leads to the summit of Mt Kinabalu. In addition, Kinabalu Park showcases an eco-system unrivalled anywhere else in the world, a highlight being the Raffelsia, and the Nepenthes insectivorous pitcher which reach spectacular proportions (the largest in the world being the endemic Nepentes Rajah).
The park offers a range of accommodation from private chalets for small groups and families, to dormitories for the backpacker and semi-luxury suites for couples and honeymooners. Apart from the Kinabalu Park accommodation, the Liwagu Cafe and the Balsam Cafe, provides interesting settings inside Kinabalu Park wherein to enjoy a meal alongside the vistas of Mt Kinabalu.
