Something for Everyone

After settling into your hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah's capital, we will introduce you to North Borneo with a tour around the Wildlife Park, an outdoor zoo exhibiting many of the unique creatures that live in Borneo. An outing to the Head Hunter's Village in Kota Kinabalu, where the Kadazan tribe live, and a trip to the Museum are musts. The Marine Park opposite Kota Kinabalu is stunning. There are lots of activities for the family here, snorkelling, diving, to mention a few. A gentle trek across Gaya Island is a great way to relax and experience some of the rainforest, orchids and ferns can be found and if you're lucky you may come across a monkey and a hornbill.

Turtle Island is on the East Coast and is home to nesting green and hawksbill turtles, the islands and their beach chalets are beautiful. Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre is in the adjacent jungle, famed for its successful rehabilitation programs the orangutans are not kept in captivity, rather looked after in their natural environment, the rainforest.

A day in Kota Kinabalu before starting the return journey the next day will allow you to see the markets and town life, or relax in your hotel.
