Cruising

A New Cruising Destination

Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo, have long been exciting holiday destinations for lovers of nature, culture, diving and adventure. Sabah was known to ancient seafarers as the "Land Below the Wind". This lush corner of Borneo lies outside of the typhoon belt and is free from major climatic disturbances, and is bounded by 3 seas: the South China Sea, the Sulu Sea, and the Celebes Sea. Sarawak, also blessed with the same conditions, has a plethora of undisturbed river systems that makes this part of Borneo an excellent destination for river cruises.

Malaysian Borneo seems almost unfairly blessed with natural beauty and offers astonishing variety within its 3000+ miles of coastline: tropical islands, including coral atolls and oceanic islands, pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, giant rivers winding through dense tropical jungle, the 4000m high Mount Kinanbalu, and an abundance of nature & wildlife. It is precisely the convergence of these factors - the magnificent rain forests, rugged mountains and tropical seas, that make Malaysian Borneo one of the most bio-diverse lands in the world and a cruising destination with so much to offer. If you are looking for the "next cruising destination" look no further!

The Vessels

In a relatively undeveloped market the majority of cruising available in Sabah consists of day, dinner and sunset cruises which venture to the secluded beaches of the Marine Park opposite Kota Kinabalu. However overnight cruises can be arranged and can cater for a wide range of guests depending upon their requirements.

In Sarawak only river cruises operating out of Kuching are available. These offer sunset cruises and special events which pass by the major highlights of Kuching city and waterfront.
