Day 1Arrive in KK and transfer to your hotel, the Pacific Sutera, a superb, centrally located hotel

Day 5Back to Kiulu for a relaxed day at your pleasure. If your arms are aching maybe you would prefer to have a day of whitewater rafting, or go off and practise your techniques with our guides

Day 6We take you to the Padas River, south of Kota Kinabalu, here the river is strong, grade 3-4, but you won't be kayaking. Instead we take you whitewater rafting, so you can get a feel for raging rapids but in the safety of the raft!

Day 7The end of your trip!

new_kayak1.jpgWhilst the learning process is pretty intense, so too is the fun factor. Ranging from levels 1 to 2 and upwards, the Kuilu, Melangkap and Tambatuan Rivers are not only ideal for learning and practicing whitewater kayaking in fun and thrilling rapids, but are also picturesque, with views of stunning jungle and the Mountains from all around. The river water in North Borneo is cool and offers a welcome respite from the tropical sun, the scenery is fantastic and the Kayaking is second to none.

new_kayak2.jpgWidely regarded as the best instructors in Asia, our guides start by looking at and refining your flat water paddling skills before going on to cover the essentials of white water paddling; ferry gliding, breaking in/out, wave surfing and stopper technique. We will also look closely at other skills such as reading and understanding water movement; safety and rescue techniques.
